Kadai paneer

Kadai Paneer Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 250g paneer, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 medium-sized tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 medium-sized onion, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 2 green chilies, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Heat oil in a kadai or wok over medium heat.
  2. Add the cumin seeds and let them sizzle.
  3. Add the chopped onions, ginger, garlic, and green chilies and cook until the onions are soft and translucent.
  4. Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they are soft and mushy.
  5. Add the coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and garam masala and mix well.
  6. Add the chopped bell pepper and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  7. Add the paneer cubes and cook for 2-3 minutes until they are heated through.
  8. Add salt to taste and stir in the heavy cream.
  9. Cook for a minute or two until the sauce has thickened slightly.
  10. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with roti, naan, or rice.
