Kadai Paneer Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 250g paneer, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 2 medium-sized tomatoes, chopped
- 1 medium-sized onion, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
- 2 green chilies, chopped
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- 2 tablespoons oil
- Salt to taste
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions:
- Heat oil in a kadai or wok over medium heat.
- Add the cumin seeds and let them sizzle.
- Add the chopped onions, ginger, garlic, and green chilies and cook until the onions are soft and translucent.
- Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they are soft and mushy.
- Add the coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and garam masala and mix well.
- Add the chopped bell pepper and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Add the paneer cubes and cook for 2-3 minutes until they are heated through.
- Add salt to taste and stir in the heavy cream.
- Cook for a minute or two until the sauce has thickened slightly.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with roti, naan, or rice.
