Pav Bhaji Recipes

 



Sure, here's a recipe for Pav Bhaji:

Ingredients:

  • 4 medium sized potatoes, boiled and mashed
  • 2 cups of mixed vegetables (cauliflower, carrots, green peas), boiled and mashed
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 2 medium sized tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tablespoon pav bhaji masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Salt, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Fresh coriander leaves, finely chopped
  • Pav (bread buns)
  • Lemon wedges

Instructions:

  1. Heat butter in a large pan and add the chopped onions. Sauté until the onions turn translucent.
  2. Add the ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute.
  3. Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn soft.
  4. Add the pav bhaji masala, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt. Mix well and cook for a few minutes.
  5. Add the boiled and mashed vegetables, mashed potatoes and a little water. Mix well and cook for 10-15 minutes on low heat, stirring occasionally.
  6. Mash the vegetables using a masher until it reaches the desired consistency.
  7. Add more butter if desired and mix well.
  8. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with pav buns and lemon wedges.

To prepare the Pav:

  1. Slice the pav buns horizontally into two parts.
  2. Heat a little butter on a griddle and toast the pav buns on both sides until they turn light brown.
  3. Serve hot with the prepared bhaji.
